Good news, Fear the Walking Dead fans... AMC's horror spin-off has officially been renewed for an eighth announced the news back in December, and now that the explosive season seven finale has aired, we're already anticipating what will happen next. Here's everything you need to know about Fear the Walking Dead season the Walking Dead season 8 potential release date: When will it air? AMC The show's format has shifted in recent years, with seasons now being split into two then, the first part has always aired in the autumn, while part two returns in the spring. So if the production pattern holds, it's likely that season eight will follow means we're likely to see season eight in autumn 2022 while part two can be expected to drop sometime in spring the Walking Dead season 8 cast: Who will be in it?In season seven's penultimate episode, Fear the Walking Dead fans said goodbye to one of its longest-serving cast members, Alycia Debnam-Carey, who has been playing the character Alicia since the show started back in 2015. The episode saw Alicia spend a large part of it fighting a fever that she was convinced was the infection from her amputated bite taking over. However, she made a full recovery and made amends with Victor (Colman Domingo) before setting off on a new mission on her own by the end of the episode. AMC Although the fact Alicia is still alive left fans feeling hopeful for her return in the future, Debnam-Carey confirmed that it was her final episode in an Instagram actress wrote: "To my dearest @feartwd family, tonight marks the end of an extraordinary and life changing journey of playing Alicia Clark..."I was 21 when we began this crazy journey but now at 28, after 7 years and 100 episodes, I decided it was time for me to move on as an actor and as a person. As is the nature of our jobs I needed to seek out new challenges, new opportunities and carve out a new chapter for myself."Meanwhile, Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) made a comeback in season seven after her original off-screen death occurred during the fourth season, when she sacrificed herself at the stadium to allow the others to escape during a zombie attack led by the Vultures. AMC Dickens has also been confirmed to return as a series regular in season eight. Scott Gimple, The Walking Dead universe's chief content officer, said (via Entertainment Weekly): "If there were a Mount Deadmore, Kim Dickens' face would be on it. Madison Clark is a foundational character to TWDU – heroic, complex, an every person who becomes a warrior and then a force of benevolence."Kim Dickens' raw talent, strength, and brilliance will electrify TWDU once more and we couldn't be luckier to have her back."Other characters who are also likely to return in season eight are Colman Domingo's Victor Strand, Austin Amelio's Dwight, Danay Garcia's Luciana, Jenna Elfman's June, Rubén Blades' Daniel, Karen David's Grace, and Mo Collins' Sarah. Fear of the Walking Dead season 8 plot: What will happen? AMC The season seven finale ended with Morgan's raft landing in Louisiana, where a seafood sign confirmed that PADRE does exist – though their exact location is and (an apparently alive) Madison are driven towards a large boat at sea in the final moments, implying that the PADRE base is possibly speaking with Entertainment Weekly, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg confirmed that the finale sets up season eight for one of the "one of the biggest reinventions [they've] ever done".The past four seasons have been set in Texas, whereas Chambliss revealed that season eight will "actually be moving the show to Savannah, Georgia, which is on the water".He continued: "And we end the season with Morgan and Madison going out to a boat. So I think it's safe to say that season 8 will have a very different environment from what we have seen before. And it will, in many ways, be centred around the water."Goldberg went on to reveal some more details about the upcoming season, as well as confirming that we'll be learning more about the mysterious PADRE. "In [season 7 episode 16], Madison is in a mirrored room speaking to someone on the other side of a mirror. We will find out who that person is on the other side of the mirror," he began. "And the other thing I could just say in conjunction with moving to Savannah, we always talk about doing reinventions on the show every season. "This will be one of the biggest reinventions we've done. We'll be introducing PADRE, and kind of seeing that for what it is, removing the location. But the circumstances in which we find the characters is, we hope, going to be very surprising for everyone. It's a big change."Fear of the Walking Dead season 8 trailer: When will we see promo?Sorry guys, but there's no trailer just promise we'll let you know as soon as there is something to show, so keep an eye out on here and we'll keep the updates coming the Walking Dead airs on Sundays on AMC in the US. Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for an eighth season. AMC announced the renewal during the most recent episode of Talking Dead following the series finale of The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Along with the announcement of Season 8, it was revealed that Kim Dickens, who played Madison Clark for Seasons 1 through 4, will return as a series regular. Dickens will make her return in the second half of Season 7 when it returns on April 17, 2022, for which AMC also released a new promo. "If there were a Mt. Deadmore, Kim Dickens' face would be on it. Madison Clark is a foundational character to TWDU -- heroic, complex, an everyperson who becomes a warrior and then a force of benevolence," said Scott M. Gimple, the Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe. "Kim Dickens' raw talent, strength, and brilliance will electrify TWDU once more and we couldn't be luckier to have her back." Dickens' Madison Clark last appeared in Fear The Walking Dead's Season 4 midseason finale in 2018 where she presumably died after sacrificing herself to lead a horde of walkers away from her family. While Madison was seen in a flashback in a following episode, she has not appeared on the show since. Though the full capacity of her role in Season 7 remains unclear, she will continue to appear in the series as a recurring character in the show's eighth season. All of the new episodes of Fear the Walking Dead will continue to be available one week early on AMC+, with the new episodes for Season 7 appearing on April 10. Season 7 will consist of 16 episodes in total, with the first half of Fear the Walking Dead ending with the midseason finale, Episode 8, "Padre." Like the rest of Season 7, the second half will continue to follow the effects of Teddy's (John Glover) nuclear blast. Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) as the only character truly thriving, with a growing community where he decides who lives and who dies. Alicia, played by Alycia Debnam-Carey, is plagued by a mysterious illness as she reluctantly takes her place as the leader of Teddy's former followers. As the search continues for the mythical Padre, Alicia will declare war on Strand while new threats emerge in the characters' continued fight for survival. Fear the Walking Dead will return April 17, with new episodes available a week early on AMC+. KEEP READING: Fear the Walking Dead Brings a Villain Back From the Dead - Sort Of Source: AMC
AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead has been picked up for an eighth season, the network announced Sunday night on Talking Dead following the Season 7 fall finale of The Walking Dead spinoff. Popular former cast member Kim Dickens, who played Madison Clark in Seasons 1 through 4 of Fear the Walking Dead, is set to return. She will make her first appearance in the second half of Season 7, which debuts April 17, and will continue as a series regular in Season 8. “If there were a Mt. Deadmore, Kim Dickens’ face would be on it. Madison Clark is a foundational character to TWDU — heroic, complex, an everyperson who becomes a warrior and then a force of benevolence,” said Scott M. Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe. “Kim Dickens’ raw talent, strength, and brilliance will electrify TWDU once more and we couldn’t be luckier to have her back.” Fear the Walking Dead will join AMC’s biggest lineup of original programming ever in 2022, which also includes the final season of mothership The Walking Dead. In the second half of Season 7, months have passed after the nuclear blast and the only one thriving is Victor Strand (Colman Domingo). Having built a fiefdom, he callously selects who will have a chance at life. The other members of the group have suffered immensely, but out of that, has come a fierce determination to live, even if it means taking Strand’s Tower by force and continuing the search for Padre, a mythical place no one is sure really exists. Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey,) now the reluctant leader to Teddy’s former followers, is plagued by a mysterious illness and the repercussions of her past actions. Morgan (Lennie James,) trying to maintain hope that he will be reunited with his family, knows Alicia is key to their survival. With Alicia declaring war, Strand’s paranoia and personal vendettas grow, and with that, new threats emerge from all sides. Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert and is produced by AMC Studios. Here is a Season 7 Part 2 promo:
AMC’s zombie spin-off just refuses to slow down. Fear The Walking Dead, the off-shoot to the massively successful and long-running The Walking Dead has officially been renewed for its eighth season. Deadline announced the news back in December 2021, along with some major casting shakeups. However, before Season 8 gets underway, the finale of the bifurcated seventh season, set to air on June 5, may answer some questions as to the future of the franchise. Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 CastAs mentioned earlier, Season 8 of Fear the Walking Dead may look very different to its predecessors — and maybe a little familiar too. Back when Deadline announced the show’s renewal, it also revealed that Kim Dickens, who played Madison Clark from Seasons 1 through 4, is finally set to return to the series. After leaving the show for several seasons, her character resurfaced in the second half of Season 7, and she will return to her status as a series regular in Season 8. “If there were a Mt. Deadmore, Kim Dickens’ face would be on it,” Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe, told Deadline. “Madison Clark is a foundational character to [The Walking Dead Universe (TWDU)] — heroic, complex, an everyperson who becomes a warrior and then a force of benevolence,” adding, “Kim Dickens’ raw talent, strength, and brilliance will electrify TWDU once more, and we couldn’t be luckier to have her back.”Just as Dickens is making her triumphant return to the program, series star Alycia Debnam-Carey, who plays Alicia Clark, announced that she would be exiting the show. Ahead of the Season 7 finale, Debnam-Carey took to Instagram to post a farewell to her Fear the Walking Dead family. “I was 21 when we began this crazy journey but now at 28, after 7 years and 100 episodes, I decided it was time for me to move on as an actor and as a person,” she wrote in her caption. “As is the nature of our jobs I needed to seek out new challenges, new opportunities and carve out a new chapter for myself,” adding, “I have been so lucky to be a part of something so awesome for so long but I hope you can understand and respect my choice to further expand and grow. I wouldn’t be here without you all and I am so grateful.” Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 PlotWhat we do know is that Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) continues to thrive post nuclear blast, while nearly every other main character has been in shambles. The group will likely have to decide between overthrowing Victor or continuing a search for salvation. Meanwhile, we can pretty much assume Alicia is on her way out, thanks to a mysterious illness, but that doesn’t stop her war plans heading into the finale. Whatever will happen in Season 8, Season 7’s end is certainly setting the stage. Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 PremiereIn its first season, Fear the Walking Dead aired just six episodes, starting with the premiere in August 2015. Seasons 2, 3, 4, and 5 had their premiere dates in subsequent springs, and it wasn’t until Seasons 6 and 7 that the series opted for split seasons. In 2020, Fear the Walking Dead broke the pattern of spring debuts and began running in October, airing the first half of the seasons in the fall, only to return in early spring of the following year with a second batch of episodes. If production patterns are to be trusted, it seems increasingly likely that the first half of Season 8 should drop sometime in fall of 2022, only to later return in spring of post will be updated as more Fear the Walking Dead Season 8 details become post ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 8: Cast, Plot, Premiere Date & What To Know appeared first on Bustle.
